Tally-ho, and various other cutesy archaic English greetings. As of January 2007, I buggered off on a student exchange, to study English Literature at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England, for six months. I set this blog up so that friends/family/fans in Australia could keep track of me while I studied in (read: with romantically straggling hair, wandered the moors of) ENGLAND, the so-called Mother Country. I also promised to do my best not to: a) give the Queen an apoplexy by acting like a convict, b) hijack the broadcasting signal of the BBC, or c) knock over any significant parts of Stonehenge ('no, officer, it was like that when I got here'). I succeeded in keeping most of those promises, but there were, well, other types of shenanigans.
Now that I'm back in Oz, I find myself requested to explain my home continent's more inexplicable points to the audience I picked up overseas. When will it ever end?!?
