Julie Gillard, deputy leader of the Federal Opposition, in a photograph of her kitchen which was described as 'lifeless' and taken by the media as immediate proof that she was a) barren, b) probably a lesbian, c) unfit to run a country. Because who wants a PM with simple tastes?
